Basic Science propensity plays a vital role in developing technical approach and methodical thinking. These are the subjects on which the strong building of all the modern innovations is based. In this manner these subjects are the stepping stone for the advance higher studies. Sound acquaintance, intangible clarity will lead the path of technical triumph. Applied Science and Humanities being an integral part of technical education focuses on promoting the applications of scientific knowledge in a manner that prepares the students to contribute effectively, intellectually and ethically as citizens of a dynamic scientific community.
This is a full-fledged department decorated with highly qualified faculties in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. The average teaching experience of the members of faculty is above ten years.
Since its inception, the department is progressing to keep the rapport between the latest technological changes and the need of the students who have to face the global challenges

HOD’s Desk

I feel rapturous to introduce you to Department of Applied Sciences, which is the foundation of engineering. Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities strives for increasing the knowledge, enhancing the critical thinking, ability to change information into knowledge and command of analysing the things technically of each and every individual of ever changing society through students. We always intend to impart knowledge through a closed weave family of highly competent faculty. Department of Applied Sciences plays a vital role in an engineering college catering to the teaching of basic Sciences and Humanities courses for engineering students of all branches. The purpose of Applied Sciences in Engineering study is to lay a strong foundation of basic principles of various disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Communication Skills in the minds of the learners, so that they proceed to rest of their years of study with up to date knowledge of the subject (both the practical and theoretical depth of knowledge) and develop skill sets of the students to become promising engineers in future. I would like to conclude with the words of Hon’ble APJ Abdul Kalam that “Never stop fighting until you arrive at your destined place-that is, the unique you. Have an aim in life, continuously acquire knowledge, work hard, and have perseverance to realize the great life”.
