Civil engineering is the most attractive & ancient engineering discipline that deals with the planning, design, construction and maintenance of the structures like buildings, roads, bridges, canals, dams, water supply and treatment systems etc. It has a broader spectrum and comprises of many sub-disciplines such as Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying & Material Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Tunnel Engineering, Earthquake Engineering. The curriculum of civil engineering is structured to provide a broad undergraduate education to the students. Also, it is computer intensive and includes a number of laboratory courses that reinforce concepts and principles of civil engineering.
